The receiver that comes with that HTiB can be purchased at Accessories4Less for $270. To me the question for you is whether or not you can get better speakers than the Onkyos for the remaining $500 and I think you can.

You might want to also consider just doing 5.1. I'm not sure exactly how your room is set up, but its usually very difficult to properly set up 7.1.

Like I said I don't really plan on use the whole space of the and I will be in a coner having 3 wall around with one and will be open. Behind the couch. I plane on mounting the the left and right surround to all that will be about 5 feet a piece from the center then planing on ceiling mounting and having the other to back ones angled down towards the sofa. Just so I don't have to deal with stands.

Zone 2 gives you the ability to play a second source signal to a separate set of speakers for another room or outdoors. Most of the cheaper receivers only allow analog audio through them, meaning you couldnt play a digital (think hdmi) source through it.

So zone would only concer me if I want to run audio into another room? And this reciever can not do that? Well hey I didn't even know they made such a thing and I would plan on doing so this reciever not having it is no problem to me.

That receiver for the Onkyo HTiB does have zone 2, the powered terminals next to the center speaker in the below picture. If you use those though, you lose 7.1 surround and only have 5.1. It does however have pre-outs for zone 2 as well next to the subwoofer pre out (purple). For that, you would still have 7.1 surround, but you would need an additional amplifier to power your zone 2 speakers.

Are the JBL ES80s any good frys has them for $144 a pop combine that with surrounds a center sub and I think I would be under 800. Are these speakers any good where do I go from here if I decide to get those?
Those speakers have now dropped to 144 on amazon I would not have to pay shipping everything I could pick up 2 bookshelfs a center and the 2 floor standings and a 12 inch sub for all just under 800 dollars would these be a good in investment I would also need a receiver pushing me over my budget but its something I would be will do. I will not be needing these or properly setting it up until I move. So are these worth it or should I wait for price drop on HTiB
Another question I have is will all these jbls match sounds and flow together good and make the sounds all go as one if I do pull the trigger

Would I need to buy surrounds or could I just use the JBLs I have now as surrounds or would these not flow together well for the synchronized sound people talk about
