Haven't seen Ravenous in years (and didn't really consider it much of a horror film), but I did enjoy it

Still waiting to get Silver Bullet (1985) from Scream Factory. We already have The Howling and The Beast Within so I need Silver Bullet for my collection.

The music from RAVENOUS kinda grates. I totally dig it, put it's just keeps you on edge with it's creepy vibe. RIP Antonia Bird.

To bad crappy Warner have this now. They're sitting on many great horror movies and nothing is coming on blu-ray. Silver Bullet is one of my favorites!

Just hearing those few notes brings back all sorts of feelings from the movie..

There's some pictures in the video below, might contain spoilers. Mostly just music though.

This is the kind of attitude that makes Scream feel like they aren't appreciated around here. Take what you can get!

Sorry, had to.

I just saw the announcement for Ravenous on FB. I'm very excited that this criminally underrated flick is coming to Blu-ray!

It's cool to see them tapping more and more into 90's horror, especially with a film as creepy and twisted as Ravenous.

I can see Shout acquiring Legend of Hell House. It's almost a given now with the Ravenous announcement. Fox is in a giving mood

I agree with dsman71! Everyone has the right to have an opinion. I would love to have more 70s and 80s horror titles from Scream Factory! They started out very good and last year I bought almost everything on blu-ray from Scream. The 2014 lineup doesn't look all that promising to me so far. I still love Scream Factory, but hopefully they will continue to release more obscure horror titles from the 70s and 80s. There are enough blu-ray companies around to release horror movies from the 90s and 00s.

Sorry. But just look at all the companies releasing 70s-80s titles:
-Scorpion
-Synapse
-Grindhouse
-Slasher/Video
-Vinegar Syndrome
-Blue Underground
-Scream Factory

Now. List five that release multiple '90s horror titles, other than Scream.

Everyone has a right to their opinion, but also is subject to that opinion being criticized for being ungrateful. Im stoked on Ravenous. Anyone unsure about it should check it out and then get hyped.

Yeah, you are sorry. Now apologize !
Different strokes for different folks. I appreciate the titles that they are releasing as much as the next guy in these parts. I think the notion that Im ungrateful is completely ridiculous - how can I be grateful for a film I havent even seen , hello ??
Rule of thumb - I never get too excited about a film Ive never seen before or know anything about. Will I try Ravenous ? Maybe..maybe not...
Now if Without Warning, Godzilla 1985 or Fright Night II came out, Id be jumping up and down in my underpants ( you wouldnt know it though )
My personal preference is pre 1980s horror over 80s slashers..I love the Karloff, Price, Lugosi films, while someone else might be the other way around, and love those 80s s(crappy <cough cough>) slashers, but you know what -
That's OKAY !!

Oh, Lord! How could I ever forget them!

I mistyped (if you haven't noticed, that happens a lot lately. Getting my laptop fixed, and my blackberry and iphone are both equally terrible at typing)

I believe what I mean was there were 3 blu-rays, and one dvd. Or something like that, counting the 2 Scanners films together? Idk. Lol.

I generally prefer any decade prior to the '90s for horror, as I think the '90s generally sucked with horror, but Ravenous was one of the better ones from that decade, if I recall correctly, so I'll be buying it. Haven't seen it since the theatrical run.

Just watched this about 6 months ago after originally seeing it in the 90's and not caring for it, but after seeing it again found it to be pretty darn awesome. What a weird, sick & twisted little flick this is, can't wait to pick it up!

You guys are being a bit harsh on the 90's. Obviously it wasn't as great for horror movies as the 80's. Then again, neither was any other decade. However, there were still some good flicks to come out of that decade. The biggest reason the 90's get such a bad rap in regards to horror is because it spawned the Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer generation. The late 90's took all the campiness and fun out of horror movies, and replaced it with really good looking early twenty somethings in serious whodunnit style thrillers/mysteries. The days of invincible maniac killers hacking victims to shreds, gratuitous female nudity, and porno movie dialogue were over. It was a big change in the direction of the genre from what it was in the 80's and early 90's. I'm not gonna lie, I was on the Scream band wagon at the time, but the movies from that era haven't aged well in my opinion. The replay value just isn't there for me.

A quick sample of the 90's
Dead Alive
Candyman
Night of the Demons 2
Event Horizon
Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight & Bordello of Blood
Night of the Living Dead
Nightbreed
Tales from the Darkside: The Movie
Tremors
Gremlins 2: The New Batch
Frankenhooker
Bride of Re-animator
Children of the Night
The People Under the Stairs
Brainscan
John Carpenter's Vampires
Castle Freak
Species
Tales from the Hood
Bad Moon
From Dusk Till Dawn
Wishmaster

Not to mention the countless Leprechaun, Child's Play, Phantasm, Hellraiser, Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Friday the 13th sequels.

The 90s stuff used to not be appealing, but those films (or rather the good ones) are becoming the new classics now. Scream, Urban Legend, Last Summer, all those new wave slashers, and the so-called "psychological thrillers".

I recommend you rewatch a lot of those terrible 90s films. 90s-haters will realize they actually are really different, and in many cases way more enjoyable than when they were first released.

I guess what I'm saying is that a lot of them aged well. And they hold up better now, and they aren't as bad as you remember. Just give them another chance.

To be fair, Scream (the first one), Dracula 2000, and The Faculty are very fun.
