Currently the only Sony that is available for sale with a 1080P/24 input and refreshes at 96HZ is the VPL-VW50 Front Projector. Hopefully Sony in September 2007 or September 2008 will introduce new models of SXRD rear projectors that will support 1080P/24 input with refresh rates of 96HZ or 120HZ. I would also like to see Sony improve the contrast ratio of the SXRD front and rear projectors to 20:000:1 or better. I am thinking about purchasing the Pioneer PRO-150FD 60 inch Plasma in September that is rumored to have at the very minimum a 20:000:1 contrast ratio. Hopefully Sony will improve on the SXRD contrast ratios this year or I might be getting a Pioneer instead. With the Pioneer’s awesome contrast ratio I will take my chances with possible burn in issues. The risk is worth it. Last edited by HDTV1080P; 05-11-2007 at 05:43 PM. Reason: Grammar |
