The PQ on ps3 is equal to every SA and even better than some, reviews of ps3 from HT mags have proven my point.

I agree that the PS3 is capable of keeping up to date with Blu-ray technology as it progresses but is not the "best" blu-ray player out there.

It's missing vital analog & digital coax outputs that are important to people with legacy receivers.

The upconverting is average at best and no where superior by a large margin to most SA blu-ray players or good upconvert players.

Also, a SA player capable of HB audio output can downgrade itself to PCM output, whereas the PS3 doesn't have that option. So the consumer can make the choice of what they want to send to the receiver and not be forced to use PCM because the lack of the hardware chipset.

Also, I completely agree, the lack of analog is a pretty significant disadvantage.
