...you have to calibrate for the HDMI input.

What looked good using another input will not be set for the HDMI input.

yippie skippy...go to the bd player setting and select HDMI as your output...again though like many have said you will not see much difference on the 26" screen.

i have a blu player in my computer. i have a 19" 720p monitor and can tell the difference with blu. hell, i just tried my ps3 to see what games would look like at 720p and what a difference! even though the monitor was in my lap practically, i might have to use that when playing. since this is the second thread i have read by the op and still hes having issues, something is definately wrong with the set up

Hey jerky I did not post that he should get a monster cable. All I said was he should get something better than a $8.00 cable.

And my point wasn't that you tried to tell him to get a Monster Cable. My point in bringing up Monster was to use an extreme example of how the price of an HDMI cable has no reflection on quality. An $8 HDMI cable (which you say is poor quality) is, in fact, the same design as a $140 Monster cable (which costs less than $10 to make). Therefore, the price of the cable purchase is irrelevant when attempting to measure the quality of the cable.
