I would suggest that the next post that violates the Blu-ray.COM General rules be reported by clicking and let the mods deal with the offender(s).
I've reported his posts several times, with nothing ever happening. So that leads me to believe the Mods don't care about this thread.
Also a reason why I created the Disc Rental thread w/NO streaming talk. Not surprising a certain member won't be posting in there.

It appears that it takes them awhile but I have noted that other posters, like slick, suddenly stopped posting so they must have been locked out or banned. So I would suggest ALL the pro Blu-ray supporters report those that violate the rules.

I've been a NetFlix customer since 1999 and a Blu-ray buyer since the summer of 2007 and continue to purchase them, buying over 50 last year. But I stopped NetFlix disc subscription years ago. The only company that is looking at subscription by mail seriously now is Gamefly.

I've never said I was against Blu-ray technology. I've had NetFlix disc subscription service. A lot of labeling done to me was neither correct nor helpful. I just pointed out that customers are leaving NetFlix disc sub plan, in droves. Its not speculation or opinion, but a fact.

I don't think anyone ever said you were against the format, certainly not me. In fact I think some of your posts are informative, just not for this thread. Again, just create a thread and post to your heart's desire. You would receive much better feedback, I'm sure.

OR, just continue to derail this thread and spin your tires.

This may be somewhat OT but just noticed you have a very sizable BD collection. What do you use, if anything, to keep up with your disc?

I use this site's database. It's free and pretty neat, in all the different features it has. I used to keep track of my Netflix disc rentals in a "rentals" category, but it was getting to big, and after awhile I didn't see the point.
Plus Netflix keeps track of all my disc rentals for me.

That is a good point. From 2/26 until today we watched 70 titles according to my account activity. I was just trying to figure if there was a disc plan that we could have that could supports that kind of family viewing habit. Way back in the day, I think I had a 5 DVD at a time plan, then they started increasing cost and decreasing the number out. Anyway, turn around for us was 2 days when we had them, here in in metro Atlanta. Not sure if its that fast now, mail day one, rec and ship day two, get them on day 3.

If I see something I love I will discuss it when I meet up with friends, I don't need to instantly tell everyone how great the latest tv show or film is. I despise social media, IMO, it is for attention seeking saddos who want to create imaginary friends. This forum is the closest I will get and even then it is bluray that brought me here.

Now back on topic, who is signing up for Gamefly?

What is? I don't even know what you are talking about Slick. I just meant I understand people using it for distant relatives. I know the majority use it, that compels me to use it even less!

Social media is a platform. You can have a social media account and make it so only your friends and family can see it. You do a lot with social media, have a card game online or other activities, for example. I am in GA, and my family are other states or countries when traveling, my sister is in Italy now. You can share photos, movies, chat, etc.. It is what you make it, its the replacement for the phone. You do have a phone I bet.

As for Gamefly, here is an article on its proposed disc rental plan. http://www.slashgear.com/gamefly-tak...vice-03319309/

I don't like it! It's called a preference. Like the preference I have for watching a film without having to put up with weird motion or a background that seems to be moving despite being stationary.

Through social media, I have connected to lots of old childhood friends including one who is now an actor. He was in Battleship and Olympus Has Fallen.

I care what you think about as much as I care about having different coloured socks for every day of the week!

I'm off to watch a bluray, shouldn't you be watching that film on Netflix you mentioned? Hunger games 2 for me now! give it a year I'm sure it will show on Netflix. I won't spoil the film for you.
