Drove past Cromer pier where the end is filmed the other day while at work. Couldn't help but laugh as I quoted lines to myself.

If anyone's interested this is only £9.99 at HMV and that includes the exclusive digipack with DVD copy and CD soundtrack! Not bad, got myself a copy at that price (half the price of original RRP).

Well....the Partridge TV stuff is a hell of a lot better than the film Im afraid! I liked the film but not enough to buy it. Its better than I thought it would be but doesn't get close to the TV stuff in my opinion which is absolute comedy gold!

I disagree I feared the worst when we first heard about the movie but I was surprised how funny it was just like the tv series.

This. It's just excellent. I had so many fears it wouldn't deliver but it delivered 110%.

The film isn't quite up there with Knowing Me, Knowing You or the first series of I'm Alan Partridge (for me, still the highpoint of Partridge so far) but I'd happily put it up there with I'm Alan Partridge series 2 and Mid-Morning Matters. can't really compare it to The Day Today as his small appearances on there are completely different.

Either way, I thought the film was really good on first viewing and even better the second time around - so if anyone was a bit let down first time around then I recommend giving it another go. I find a lot of Partridge benefits from repeat viewings and familiarity, especially the later stuff where the first viewing is often spent measuring it up against the earlier stuff.

I have watched it many times and have them all on DVD but I think this was the comedy movie of the year.

Got an inkling it was a bit like that hence why I bought it at that price. Was a little disappointed but still found it funnier than most comedies of last year and it does seem like something I would watch again and again so is a good investment. My opinion is that it's better than Mid Morning Matters (I've not yet got Partrimilgrimage) but not as good as the I, Partridge audiobook (which is an endurance test...still never finished it).

Interested in the ASDA exclusive if anyone is selling one. Might have to wait, depending on the price, but I want to get one at some point.

It was in my local ASDA supercentre recently as part of a 2 for £12 deal. So if somebody lives near an ASDA they might be able to get you a new copy.

Unfortunately, my local ASDA is massively out of the way, so I will not be able to help...

As Buzz201 said, I've seen the film in my local asda too. Not sure if it's the asda exclusive version, but would be happy to pick one up for you if it is.

That would be great. I saw it was part of that promotion on the ASDA website but it's sold out there. Normally I would then look at what else was on the deal, but hopefully anyone who can potentially pick one up for me can find something they want, as I'm between jobs, and then the deal works out for both of us. I liked the movie a bunch and I want to grab a copy of this as the US Blu-ray got shafted on extras.

You are aware the main disc is B locked (possibly with some 1080/50i or PAL content), and the bonus disc is a Region 2 PAL DVD, right?

Yes. It's not a problem for me.

Anyone with ASDA (Premium Partridge Edition?) version, can you confirm whether the extras have English subtitles or not? Thank you!

Ow man, almost always the same thing with extras. Mid Morning Matters discs had subtitled extras so I was hoping this had too.

Thanks for confirming and sparing my money.
