Fantastic news. The Shooting is definitely worth checking out, a somewhat philosophical western dealing with doppelganger. RitW is just weak imo, and quite immature.

FYI: COCKFIGHTER is available on blu from Japan. I haven't imported yet so can't speak of A/V quality.

Agreed, I'm not fussed about Whirlwind either, but STOKED about The Shooting.

That's exciting news about the 'uncensored' Millie Perkins interview, I just love her. She's particularly mesmerizing in The Witch Who Came from the Sea, although it makes for uncomfortable viewing at points (especially, from the male perspective, one scene in particular!)

Criterion has been kind to Monte Hellman's artistic films. I only wished they would continue this trend by restoring CHINA 9 LIBERTY 37 to its original length and do a 2K or 4K scan for this great western. This film is one of Monte Hellman's most neglected gems.
