Yeah, only the special edition release, and then the following 1 disc release were anamorphic. Many of the first dvds were not anamorphic, so on a widescreen display, they will show up with black bars on all 4 sides, or just the top and bottom but look very squished and small. My original copy of The Boondock Saints was like this, and when i watched it recently i was like WTF is going on with the midgets. Then i realized.
