Just picked all of these up... inspired by the 1990 film.

I got those as well.

The face sculpts leave a little something to be desired IMO, but they are still cool.

8 years and 1 day later.... you bring up a dead thread?

But also... what? You think some petition is going to get something done? Has any of these online petitions really done anything? I find that they mostly exist so that some group of people can say something that may be important for something that they won't actually risk anything to accomplish what they want. Just a bunch of words w/ no backbone.

Link fixed. And it may not work. Likely won't. But that isn't going to stop me from trying.

All 3 of this trilogy is included in Amazon Prime. Was impressed by how well the original one held up. Good social commentary, the right balance of gritty realism and light hearted fluff. It was quite chilling seeing the 1990 era fully operational World Trade Center!

Shredder was legit scary to me as a kid. And my Millennial heart will always prefer puppetry to CGI. I know they are not real so might as well embrace it and so with the whimsical method.

I bought the 3 live-action films and the 2007 CGI one, a few years after all they all hit Blu-Ray. I still enjoy all of them a great deal, and I agree the first one is easily the best.

You've been here about 15 years, you've only made about 30 posts. Got my numbers crossed, sorry. That's two posts a year, not one every two years.

Ah, yeah, haha. I work way too much, so not on here often, or really any forum or social media. Honestly most of the posts I've made on here have probably only been in the last few weeks too. Even when I do browse on here it's typically just to read the new 4K/BD reviews, and keep up with what new releases are coming out. I'm mostly interested in older films that have been restored. Until I started the petition for the TMNT 1990 restoration, I hadn't really had reason to check out the forum much. I've been lurking and interacting a bit more though. Some cool discussions in here, but still a matter of finding the time.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live action movie back in theaters this weekend only from what I see.

I have it on disc so I can just watch it on my 100" screen projector.

The animatronic faces were great back then and that tech is still in use in 2025. Great design to the turtles for live action. A fun movie with great martial arts.

Only slow part was when they were hanging out in the house with April.

I actually find these scenes to be what makes this stand out compared to the other live action efforts. I especially love the scenes of them at April's cabin while Raph is healing up.

Arrow recently showed off what their UHD/BD sets will look like for the trilogy. I only want the 1st one really. Somewhat am okay w/ owning the 2nd film cuz that was my favorite one as a kid. But goddamn did I hate 3 even as a kid. I wanted to love that one so much as a kid.

Saying that, I'd love to see 1 in a theater. It's a fascinating read to see how they went about that one. The way the edits are in it too. Still amazed those suits could do so much for the guys in them. Jim Henson's crew also did great work. It's just a great film. I never saw Critters, the film that Ralph watched in a theater. Not sure if I'd like it or not. It's not NOT something I might like. But I dunno... Just never cared to watch it. Maybe one day.

The movie came out in the 90, meaning all the kids who saw the movie have all grown up. You think the filmmakers would have the sense to make a TMNT aimed at an older crowd where the Ninja Turtles actually act like ninjas and Shredder is a martial arts master.

I’m still waiting for that movie. But no, we’ll be served up kiddie movies with Rocksteady and Beebop. Yah.
