I'm really worried about the input lag I was all set to pull the trigger on 65 hu8550 or 9000 but I for some reason googled that and saw 70+ms and have now halted it sine I do game enough and that seems to be pretty damn bad.

Just not sure what to do :/

I mean 65'' 4k tv is 2999 right now if you got the 8550 which I paid 2499 for the 55C8000 a few years ago and that was a good price so to spend a few more dollars for 10+ inches and supposedly better picture+features doesn't seem unreasonable.

I'm just stuck

The 65" looks really nice, but I haven't seen it in game mode. I'm looking for something over 80 inches - and Samsung's manufacturer-controlled price of $10,000 just sent me away shaking my head.

If the input lag is really bad, that's a shame. This is not a fully backlit television, either in 65" or 84" size. For that kind of money, if they can't do it, I have to keep my wallet closed.

I'm wondering when the next real price drop will come. I was hoping for the end of the year, but it may be after January that these guys see the handwriting on the wall. Their technical issues are not all solved, buyers at this level are far more savvy, and they don't have any special technology to defend with real 4K material so rare.

I don't get it. This is high end stuff, and they're chasing away their high end market.

That's what I wonder about these 4k tv input lag tests are they optimized to run as best as possible or did they just plug it in and go. Because even with the 70-80s I'm seeing with samsungs if they can be reduced to say 40-60 thats more than reasonable [samsungs especially are up-converting to 4k even in game mode which will kill ms times]
