I prefer to list UPC if possible as I agree it makes a difference. Maybe in the second post or somewhere obvious we have:

Please list with your submission:

1. DVD or Blu-Ray
2. Edition: Theatrical, Director Cut, Special Edition, 50th Anniversary, etc.
3. UPC if you have it

I guess UPC is important if it reports not being able to read and you could get it to read. Then UPC is helpful as we would know which one to get. Obviously if no one if having issues with a disc reading it may not be as important. Except for maybe the Harry Potter Ultimate edition where there seems to be issues with the Ultimate Edition. Also the 80's collection edition.
