I only have room for a 37 inch.
Which one would you go with? 720p is ok with me due to the distance I am using it making 1080p not a big deal. Thanks for the help. |

Inform me, please, of the spec "stated panel size". The Panasonic recommended above has a "stated panel size" of 32". Is that the case for all 37 inch LCD's?
I found this model on Amazon for about 1200 and am thinking seriously of getting it. Just wanna make sure it's screen is as big as other 37 inchers. Size matters. ![]() |

Enough said here
You can get it for about $1300 (thats about the same price as 32XBR6!!) http://www.abesofmaine.com/search.do...9EA4773C7EC14A I bought my 52XBR4 about 3 months ago from there and it arrived in 4 days, literally~ ![]() |

The Sony or the Panny. I have the little brother of the Panny, and it is one awesome LCD.
I was trying for the 32XBR6 for $999, as 32 is as big as I can fit in my entertainment center. Either wouldn't be a bad choice. Another good option is the Samsung A450 series. They're awesome LCD's as well. -Nick ![]() |

Any comments on that model? |

It will not compare to the Sony XBR6. There is no comparision in the Sony line to the performance of this television. I purchased a 40" XBR4 last year and it is amazing. The XBR6 is the next evolution and only the 32" and 37" are currently available. You will not be disappointed.
If you were able to go with a 40", then I would suggest you look at the Sony Z4100 or W4100. Recently I compared Sony XBR4 to the latest Samsung (650 series) in 2 different stores. My opinion, the XBR4 still outperforms the Samsung - the Samsung showed color banding defects during camera pans which the XBR4 did not. You will also want to consider the lighting situation - the Sony is excellent for general light conditions. The others with the glossy displays can be very distracting unless you are in a darkened room. My neighbor just got a Samsung 650 and viewing position off axis and the display acts like a mirror in his relatively bright living room. |

You simply cannot compare TV's in a store. You have to compare TV's in the same setting (dark, semi-dark, bright). ie. your TV in your room against another TV in your room. When you are watching TV's in a store, the source is split, 20,30,40 or more times, which is unfair, unless your source is split that many times. -Nick ![]() |
