I find myself rewatching favorites every 1, 2, or 5 years or so. It's pretty frequent, but I do feel that if I watch something too many times in a row, it starts to lose its meaning or feeling. I find I can get burned out on Star Wars and LOTR pretty fast, probably because I have seen them to death throughout my life, so I tend to give those more time in between viewings. There have been times where I found them dull or they felt like they dragged, but after a long stretch of not seeing them and forgetting how they are, they feel fresh and new again. This also means that some movies I love that I don't see as frequently - like Silence of the Lambs - always feel fresh, because I never really got burned out on them in the first place.
