Rush Hour 3

Is the Rush Hour 3 DTS HD MA 7.1 core just 5.1? When I rented it today, I could not get 7.1 channels, just 5.1. My player can't decode nor bitstream DTS HD-MA. I have a Sony BDP-S301 player. But still I should be getting lossy 7.1 from the core, right? I have my AVR set up for 7.1. I don't get to see many 7.1 channel Blu-ray releases, but I do remember getting 7.1 channels from 3:10 to Yuma a while back and the sound was absolutely awesome.

All the New Line 7.1 movies that had the 5.1 problem are now fixed with the Firmware 2.40. You have to wait for Sony to put back firmware 2.40

note: They had a total 5 titles that were 7.1 (Different speaker Mapping) down mixed to 5.1. However they were fix with the new firmware.

Pioneer Elite. Decodes it all. I have no problems with any DTS-MA 7.1 audio.

That's nice. Mine doesn't decode DTS HD MA. So, what my question is, can one still get 7.1 channels from DTS HD MA core?

Then, my S301 player is downmixing 7.1 channel DTS HD MA to 5.1? If so I hope Sony releases a FW update to fix that.

Thanks, sadly the nature of DTS-HD MA, the core is only 5.1. But Rush Hour 3 sounds darn good when I select a decoder on my AVR to upmix the DTS 5.1 core back to 7.1.
