Yup.

It's the only way I see fox doing it. We also all knew this was coming. But can't complain as I got the blu for $10.

Sorry if I missed this in a previous post but does anyone know if this is a new BD transfer or is it the old BD transfer with new special features?

No one knows for sure. But most suspect its the previous transfer with the special features from the latest DVD special edition release. Which was pretty extensive, and really the only thing missing from the original Blu-ray release.

I just picked up the Commando/Predator 2-pack!

I really hope the Ultimate Edition is just extras and not a full remaster. That would really be nerve racking!!!

Hey at least we know it won't be a bit starved Mpeg-2 encode.

It might just be a tweaked remaster, but hopefully no DNR.

Not the way I would define it, but that "5 hours" number can be misleading because studios sometimes count the commentary track as an extra, meaning around 1:45 is gone. There was also a "subtitled text commentary with film historian Eric Lichenfield" on the DVD, which might eat up another 1:45, so potentially there's a total 3.5 hours of the 5 gone for commentary. The documentary "If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It" is around 30 minutes, and it has at least 30 minutes more in featurettes. Throw in a few deleted scenes, short interviews, FX shot tests, and promotional stuff for "Predators", and you're over 5 hours.

I hope I'm wrong.
