Ya I would love to grab the drum set... but the only place selling it around me is Futureshop and they were sold out when I went last night... Plus they want $109 for the drums alone... the mic is a separate purchase at $49.99.

Considering I bought WT with the guitar for $109 when it came out, I wish I would have got the complete kit for $199.. but the complete kit was impossible to come by for at least 4 weeks after release. Then reading on all the issues with the drums when they first came out I was glad I held off.. not so much now that I see I have to spend another $160 to complete the set.

Well you could do what I did and get the full Rock Band 2 set at Walmart in Canada for $150. Sell of some stuff if you don't want it all. I'm told it all works well with GH although I have not tried yet. I'm have tried using my GH:WT guitar with RB2 and it works fine.

My wife bought me GT:WT for just the guitar for $110 or so for xmas - she had no idea about the whole set or anything like that. If I was buying I would have got the full GH:WT set.

RB and GH:WT work fine... But RB doesn't work with GH:III...

and to the 8ball there's always cheap sets and individual pieces around here. I can look around if you want.

Ok cool. I only have RB2, GH:WT, and GH:Metallica so for me I think was the economical route and everything should work.

I bought Rock Band 2 a couple of weeks ago and I just rented Guitar Hero World Tour and Metallica and everything works (guitar, drums and microphone) I am definitely going to buy these 2 games; just wanted to make sure about compatibility....

I'm not a huge fan of Metallica but I must admit, some tracks are amazing !!

Rock on !!

I'm a drummer so I don't know how accurate a statement this will be but expert on most of the Metallica songs is fairly easy. The beat is slow and he rarely uses 16th notes so most of the time, you'll just be hitting the bass as you hit something with your hand. Just keep working at it, this is a great way to become a drums, that may be why I'm so bitter towards RB and WT...because I had to learn for real.

i took metallica back yesterday and also got my kick pedal for free. i will test out the new disc and see if i still have the shutter problem. Anyone know if redoctane is aware of the problem and if a patch will be released?

Don't know but I started to see it on the song All Nightmare Long too, ugh.

Has anyone seen the commercial for this yet?

It starts off just like all the other GH commercials, doing a parody of Tom Cruise in Risky Business. They show the hallway and you're waiting for some celebrity to slide in in their underwear but no celebrity shows up. Then they show outside the front of the house and Kirk Hammet is tying to film crew to a tree. It then zooms in on James Hetfield who says, "Do you really think we're going to let someone prance around in their underwear for our commercial?" It shows all 4 members walking away from the house while Hetfiled pushed a button on a handheld detanator and the house explodes.

Hands down, one of the best commercial of 2009 so far.

Was the complaint that it was only on Hard? Because I was playing yesterday on Exp and it was happening a lot. It was on one of the more difficult songs like Mercyful Faith or Fate, whatever the name but it quite prominent and was pissing me off.
