Star Wars.

It's been speculated for several years of a 2007 Blu-ray release, and Amazon did have a placeholder. I'm just thinking, what title could possibly be worthy of hype & announcement on the 1 year anniversary? Spiderman is an inevitability. Not hype worthy at all.

But beyond that, no more guessing, just wait it out and be happy with whatever is announced.

If it is any Star Wars movie I would be shocked as hell.

Then I may have to change my opinion of Lucas.

But The Lord of the Rings Extended Editions as Blu-Ray exclusives would definately blow my mind.

Based on the wording I saw it won't surprise me if the news is about some feature (like an extra) that will be on some upcoming BD release. I don't know what the info will be, but I think many could be disappointed in the news given the expectations that seem to be forming here.

my bet is since its the big one year, is that it is star wars or lotr. something to deal a death blow is my guess. spiderman isn't out of the question and neither is POTC 3.

I get what you're saying here, but most of the titles mentioned here have been announced for Blu-ray, but their release dates either haven't been announced or they've been pushed back (Fox titles). So the "big news on an upcoming title" might be a release date. By the same token, you might be on to something, and this is just a BD-J interactive game for some Disney title.

I take "exclusive" in that context to mean that the news is exclusive to this site. If it were what I think you have taken it to mean, it would be worded "News on an upcoming Exclusive Blu-ray title."

These "BIG" announcements are always a letdown. I remember at last years CES, the BDA had a "big" announcement about a new partner. Everyone thought Universal. Turned out to be Sun.
