I would label Indiana Jones as more of an adventure series, and I think if you included this, you should have also included the Mummy series.

It was my favorite of your choices though, by far.

Mad Max is not any of those other genres. As for Bond not being one franchise but several (which is a logic I don't agree with, but whatever) why not include it as James Bond (Connery), James Bond (Moore), James Bond (Brosnan)?

I agree with this.

CZAR, usually your polls are pretty good at including the possible options, but this one is severely flawed. You may want to consider redoing it.

Man we are talkin 22 Bond films with like 6 or 7 diff actors or 1 film out of 4 without Arnold or the main Robocop guy! Big difference dont u think? Got Em!!
it's still considered 1 franchise-- as in "the Bond franchise"-- a term used today but hey-- it's your poll. I just disagree with not including it.

Thats understandable. Thats just my take on it but astrakan did make a good point of maybe listing them in franchises by the actor for each one. Didnt think of that. Oh well no biggie! These franchises listed have like 3 or 4 films so easy to compare as well. Got Em!!

Tough list, all these films have there bads and goods, I went Die Hard, as all the films are enjoyable, though all of them are pale in comparison to the festive classic that is the original.

I do love Dirty Harry, but I don't really consider it an action franchise, it's not really action packed, but I wouldn't of picked it anyway, other than the original and Magnum Force, you would struggle to name them all.

Czar.... love how people ALWAYS have to make a comment... why didn't you put this or that....just vote people! If you wanted Bond... then vote your 2nd favorite. then mention you would have voted Bond.... makes for a much better discussion....

lol.. rant over... i went with Die Hard... I would have picked Indiana Jones but i think it is more of adventure as well

In your opinion, where do the Dirty Harry movies rank master_8ball?

IMO, Dirty Harry rules (and is vastly superior to the First Blood movies)!

Seriously out of all the actions series out there Beverly Hills Cop is your choice for best? It's good and all the last one sucked but I still like them it's more comedy than action though. The same could be said of Rush Hour.

To me I would list in no particular order these franchises above the 3 you mentioned.

Die Hard
Lethal Weapon
Bourne
Mission Impossible
Rambo
James Bond

I would also list franchises like Indiana Jones, The Matrix and Terminator but while they have a lot of Action sequences they fall more under adventure or sci-fi for me to call them Action films.
In your opinion, where do the Dirty Harry movies (which I, of course, voted for) rank seeweda?

As I said before, IMO, Dirty Harry rules (and is vastly superior to the First Blood movies)!
