No problems here so far.... panasonic bdp with a 5.1 stereo, only have the third season and only a little more the half way through but have not noticed any problems, frankly it sounds pretty good.

EXACTLY!!! And that's why it can be annoying when we have posts after posts of people bragging about how great their PS3 is. Yes, what need is feedback from different people with DIFFERENT players. Therefore, we can see how many players are having issues with a certain title. Now THAT is helpful!

If you look at the OP's signature, he's playing his BDs on an Oppo BDP-83. So, the most helpful response will be from people who've tried the Star Trek BDs on that particular player. Unless the OP has a PS3 (which is not listed on his sig), then responses like "Works on my PS3. Best Blu-ray player ever" is not going to be of any help to him.

Yes, and someone on the first page, if I'm not mistaken, has an Oppo 83 and the TOS discs work fine on his...so...that leads me to believe that those who have had dialogue volume issues with their TOS discs just have their players not set right concerning their speaker set-up. I mean, if I set my player to 7.1 and I try to play a 7.1 track, I'm going to be missing some sounds thru my 5.1 speakers. So I think what's happening is that the people who seemed to be having audio problems were trying to pass the 7.1 track thru TV spreakers or 2.1 systems, without setting their players to down-mix the audio tracks.
