always liked this, remember this being a weekend rental as a kiddo.
it's just always a harsh and stressful movie to watch just cause it's soooo taxing. one of the first movies i ever saw that really made me feel like i was on the journey with them. and the score, the score just makes it even harsher.
gonna enjoy spinning this tonight!

I feel the same way about Daylight as I do about The Poseidon Adventure. Both are emotionally grueling experiences putting the viewer front and center with the cast amid the explosions, rising waters and dark claustrophobic settings.

I wish both would get remastered 4K releases.

A 25th anniversary edition is happening in Germany. Turbine is releasing a remastered Blu-Ray Set. Blu-Ray 1 has the movie with Dolby Atmos and Blu-Ray 2 with Auro-3D.

I would have expected a 4K-Version by now, but apparently Universal has only licenced a Full-HD-Version to Turbine. It reminds me a little bit of "Waterworld" a few years back. Universal licenced a Full-HD-Version to Arrow in the US and UK and released it's own 4K-Version a few month later. I would bet money, that's happening again here.

DRAGONHEART has been leaked as an upcoming 4K UHD later this year from Universal. I haven’t seen anything yet like that for DAYLIGHT, so I’d consider this German release to be a safer preorder.
