Not bashing your taste, but I HATED Shark Night. But I get a feeling this will be a rare suprise for me so willing to take a blind buy gamble. Shark Night I just rented and I was quite glad I did not blind buy it lol!

I enjoyed Shark Night. It wasn't too bad for a PG-13 shark movie. We don't get enough non-SYFY Channel shark attack movies.

I'm guessing there's a list somewhere of all the Shark horror movies ever made.
Both versions are bundled together. They aren't being released separately, unless you're referring to the DVD only version.

Don't know who's completely serious about grabbing this one, but just found out my store will only have 5 copies on hand & there's a good chance the price will be $17.99 release week.

Watched it last night and enjoyed it. Definitely a step above the syfy type shark flicks. I will say the cgi is pretty bad in spots but its still a fun time. Has some good gore and a good sense of humor. If youre a fan of these types of movies youll dig it. The video quality was flawless. Picture looked amazing. Im not someone who pays attention to the audio part of it as i dont have a fancy sound system or anything. Sounded good to me though.

Thanx for your input odriley. Just came back from my BBY & no luck with it being out early but I will most definetly be grabbing this Tuesday. As far as bad cgi according to IMDb Deep Blue Sea had almost 4 times the budget of this movie & some of their effects were pretty bad too. And I LOVE that movie, so can't wait to get my hands on this one.

Just saw on BBY's site they've officially put out the pre-order price for release week at $18.99 LOL! How generous a WHOLE dollar off.

I'm also hoping this to be far more plausible than Shark Night, but the effects don't look as good in the trailer.

Amazon has updated their specs from a 3-disc set to a 2-disc set. Blu-ray.com hasn't updated theirs yet, but they rarely do. I'm guessing the 3D and 2D BDs are the same disc, despite the coverart implying otherwise.

Piranha 3DD was actually 3 discs, so while this one could go lower, I'm not holding my breath. I think Piranha 3DD was priced so low, just to get it to sell. I thought this film was actually an Australian production, just DTV in the states.

Just saw it, and dropped a review on it here, too. Good 3D and a fun flick. Would make a great $13 or less 3D purchase.

Just watched the 3D version last night and have to say it delivers. If you have seen the trailers you know what your getting so if you enjoy disaster films and man vs animal films you should love it. The effects are movie quality not sci-fy cable. Except for two scenes of the shark that are meant to be over the top (opening credits and closing credits) otherwise the sharks looked great and menancing. Yes there are holes in the story but really take it for what it's worth. Tsunami scene great, shark attacks great, blood and gore all there. So sit back and enjoy the ride. Oh many complain that there are varied Australian accents, well even in Australia not everyone has the same accents and u don't know where all the characters originate from so don't get hung up on something like that. Btw the movie was shot native 3D so some real nice dept and some good cheesy pop outs.

I just picked this up and will be watching tonight. I like my cheesy shark movies and this certainly looks better than what Shark Night turned out to be.

Can anyone confirm if the 3D/2D combo disc is a flipper or not?
