Think about it. They wouldn't award points for a pre-order because then you could pre-order a ton, use the points, then cancel the pre-orders. Points will be awarded at the time of the final transaction.

To be fair to Play, they will be offering Superpoint Multiplier bonuses on certain products. This will no doubt boost your points tally.

e.g. Prometheus 6x multiplier would earn you about 144 Superpoints in one transaction, so customers may be able to amass a decent amount in a short period of time.

That's just an example, they don't actually have that offer on Promeheus just to clarify for members wondering why there isn't the 6x multiplier on that product

Also, your right but i think this section severely needs 6x points on all our steelbooks

I think i'll stick with the other site that offers something more financial immediately . For Amazon though, they're good to use cause you can't do the cash thing with them but cashback + points from Play.com are 'WINNING!'

Points will only be awarded at the time of final transaction, but the only item that shows on my Superpoints statement is the Zombie Flesh Eaters steelbook. All my other pre-orders don't so these aren't awarded points. I would have to put the orders through again and then the points would show as pending. I wonder if Play would do it so that everybody's pre orders that were already placed would show as points pending

I've got loads on preorder and none of them on my super points statement. Just preorder Armeggedon and it's on there.

Better than nothing, I'll sign up and just let the points build. I'm sure they'll have double points events or something of the like. Shouldn't moan, they didn't have to do this.

Lol, I'm wondering if some greedy guy cancelled some of his pre-orders to re-order and gain these points. It would be very funny if he accidentally cancelled his Terminator pre-orders, whahaha.

Now that guy would be a total idiot

Always triple check your orders, and only cancel after you have re ordered so you know exactly what you got

I'm sure at least one person did that, it has to be .

But I'm not cancelling anything, I don't really care about those points. I have to spend 1000 euro's to get a 10 euro discount... well... okay than.

Can anybody actually confirm Play.com weren't going to give us our points for pre-ordering before the system came in? Seems really stupid and obviously causes an inconvenience. Not to mention the fact that i haven't seen a single point show up fron re-ordering numerous steelbooks where it shows superpoints at the top

I cancelled my Terminator.... on Amazon (the amaray version) when I saw the steelbook had been announced on Play. Guess who thought they had ordered the steelbook, only to realise the other day that I hadn't and had to spend £40 on Ebay

The benefit of these points is that although the points are only valid for a certain period of time, that is reset when you place a new order, so you can build up a load of them, unlike the HMV Pure Points
