Wasn't this kind of obvious? Developers are always going to have to decide whether to use the extra power for framerates or graphics. It has nothing to do with the console or Sony. Hell, even some PS2 games run is 60FPS. It's about developer priorities.
Ideally we'd have options, because I'd always choose 60FPS over graphics. That way, companies get to advertise their games with footage of amazing graphics but tag on that silky smooth 60FPS is an option. |
