Apologies for the sidebar, would those who own the Mill Creek releases recommend them?

A few of these Columbia Noir titles were recently on the Criterion Channel, so Sony definitely has some pretty good HD masters for these, they looked great!

I definitely would. But as there are so many sets out I would make a couple of comparisons for image quality etc.

Sure. They’re very fairly priced and solid quality transfers. To be honest though, personally I only like and would rewatch about a third of the films in the set, and quite a few of them are hardly noir either.

Picking up this set for sure. It will make a great addition to my noir collection.

I went to pick it out from my collection, in my mind I was referring to VCI's Forgotten Noir & Crime collections.
I do have a couple of the WB box sets that Wes posted (lovely to seem them lined up like that).
I definitely must round them and see what I have so as not to double dip too much but this box would be worth a 100% double dipping!
My apologies about the mix up then

Such a shame that Fox Titles are no longer available to fill our collective Noir interests... It would have been nice to have ; 14 Hours ... Shock .. Vicki .. The House on Telegraph Hill ... The Dark Corner .. The Street With No Name...

The Warner titles are trickling out via WAC though not fast enough for my liking Although I do have all the DVDs in Wes' picture.

The forgotten noir and the bad girls of noir dvds could make appearances via Indicator now it seems

No apologies needed SPU
But, don't you think though that unless it's a really bad print, sometimes unless you do a screencap comparison you don't really notice the difference? I mean the reason I am upgrading so much lately is 1) TT sale and you guys on here's influence, which I think I am greateful for (as opposed to my bank account) 2) I think I'm a shopaholic often and that 3) sometimes the quality jump is impressive: I think that what finally sold me on Bluray Discs was the 1963 Cleopatra issue which blew me away. Seeing a movie from 1963 looking like that was a true eye-opener!

So all I'm saying, yes it would be great to have those Fox titles upgraded (and lots of never-on-home-video) but let's treasure those that came out on DVD, they usually aren't that bad.

I'm all about what it looks like in motion. The UK Boutique editions of Noir on Blu have tended to be for the most part a noticeable upgrade on previous formats. Some Kino editions not so much. The timing of the Disney take over sucked for a multitude of reasons. Thankfully Nightmare Alley looks as though it will make it through extras and all.

The time and effort that PH will have put into these Noir works will be noticeable too.

He attacked and denigrated a large group of fans because they didn't want to watch a terrible remake.

Can anyone guess if Indicators Deal could include titles contained in the Kino Lorber Film
Noir The Dark Side of Cinema Boxsets? I have them in my card for a while now and wanted to get them all at once in early September. The included titles are:

Vol 1: Big House, U.S.A., A Bullet For Joey, He Ran All the Way, Storm Fear, Witness to Murder
Vol 2: Thunder On The Hill / The Price Of Fear / The Female Animal
Vol 3: Abandoned / The Lady Gambles / The Sleeping City
Vol 4: Calcutta / An Act of Murder / Six Bridges to Cross

Can someone guess if they’re maybe all from a studio that Indicator don’t have a deal with? Or especially deal with, and they’re probably releasing most/all of them?

Vol. 1 are probably all MGM titles. No known deal at the moment.
Vol. 2-4 are probably all Universal titles. Indicator released some Universal titles so it might be possible.

I'm not familiar with Indicator or these types of box sets, but I'm a big Film Noir fan. How often would everyone expected new volumes to be released? I read the original post and I know it says multiple volumes of multiple years, what are everyone's expectations in terms of frequency and total volumes? I suppose total will be influenced by sales to a degree.

If you use the Hammer sets as a barometer then they've been released as follows;

Vol 1 - Oct 30 2017
Vol 2 - Feb 19 2018
Vol 3 - Jul 30 2018
Vol 4 - Nov 25 2019
Vol 5 - Mar 30 2020

Could be totally different of course dependent on a multitude of factors, but take the above for what its worth

Some of their writing can be a little cringy and come across as they’re trying too hard but for the most part I agree.

Thanks! So on previous releases, we could expect a maximum of 1 every 6 months.
