No. This is the first time it's been released... In America. Where Warner Bros. USA is located.

99% of the time when the phrase "first time on blu-ray" is in a press release they are referring to that particular country/region.

I have the set of the first film that was released last year so I will be getting the single of The Exorcist III. I love that film. I am going to have to start cancelling things or space them out for September and then into October when it comes to scary movies for Halloween (the most wonderful time of the year, screw Christmas ).

Wow! It's about time! FINALLY getting all of these films on Blu-ray! I enjoy Exorcist II: The Heretic and can't wait to re-watch them all. But it'll actually be the first time I've seen Dominion.

Singles! Sweet! Don't need the first film again, don't want HERETIC, and I'm one of the few who strongly prefers THE BEGINNING to DOMINION (an okay movie on its own terms but, I'm sorry, the demon in it bears no resemblance whatsoever to the demon of the rest of the series), so just III and BEGINNING for me, please. Good of Warners to offer the options.

Seeing the price of the boxset, guess I might as well triple-dip on Exorcist.

It was the same with the RoboCop, The Name with No Name and Rocky sets.

I was going to get just Heretic and III but the price for both will be almost the same as the box set so I may as well just grab the whole set.

I'll probably get the box set since I haven't gotten the first film yet on blu ray and would like to get pt.II. Never seen Pt.III but have heard good things about it.

You will like 3. 2 is trash compared to 3 and of course the original is the best!

I won't be! There is some excellent Christmas themed horror coming this fall! Lol.

Silent Night, Deadly Night
Gremlins
Christmas Evil
To All A Goodnight
(rumored from Kino in time for Halloween!)

Its like Christmas married Halloween! And all of these blu-rays are our presents.

This makes me hard. If us UK folk don't get individual releases of The Heretic and Legion, I'll pick up the anthology.

The Heretic is no masterpiece but it's a very unique attempt at a sequel and Morricone's score is insane.

Too little, too late. This should have come when WB put out the last re-issue (2nd blu-ray release total) of the original "Exorcist" on blu-ray. I'm referring to a box set release. Do fans seriously want to be stuck with the original "Exorcist" for a 3rd time on blu-ray?

Only saving grace is that you can buy the sequels individually, which I don't even care about. Doesn't appear to be any new bonus material on "Part III" which is what fans want and really the sequels just aren't good.

Actually, that was the third blu-ray release last year.
WB also released a single disc edition a few years back.

You're correct, I forgot that they did that. I literally bought the very first digi-book release and I'm fully satisfied. All things "Exorcist" in my life are fulfilled.

So, now do we also have to wonder what 2-disc set of the original this box-set features? The first two-disc set or the re-issue from last year that had like one new featurette? My mind would have the think the newest re-issue, simply because there has to be a lot of unsold copies sitting around. Did that re-issue also include the letter from William Friedkin?

Not really. "Part III" has a bit of a cult-following though, you may want to just watch it first, then decide if it's worth buying.
