Lucy Steelbook (Target Exclusive)

I totally spaced on this steelbook and ended up getting the lenticular slip from best buy

My Target must have had at least 30 steels and I looked through every single one to find the perfect copy. I didn't love this movie when I saw it in theaters but now that my expectations are in check I'm gonna give it another shot. I just can't pass up a beautiful steelbook.

Ok so after just receiving my steel today which I was so excited for guess what? It's damaged. I'm so mad I've gotta call Target to get this replaced but my ocd is not handling the terrible paint job. There's a streak down the front that I can't describe & a chip up top which I could live with had the streak not been there. Not sure if the picture will show how crappy this streak looks it literally goes down the from the top of the U to the bottom it's kinda distorted the writing.

Sent back my steel, & apparently have to wait till early February to get a replacement.. Ugh..

Wow, I had to go to the electronics department and got help from 2 different employees to track a copy down.. He came out with the "last three steels" from the back (I think they were stashing them!!). It was my lunch hour and I lucked out

I'm not sure if I want to blind buy this now or risk it and wait for a price drop. A few of the exclusives of other movies are still around at my store. For example, just yesterday I saw quite a few 22 Jump Street steelbooks



Edit- I just saw that the steel has a different dcpi than the regular so would that have an impact if there is a price drop on the regular version?

Was at 2 LA area Targets and they each had 20 copies between 10 and Noon so they were well-stocked.

Yep I tried to get 22 Jump Street a couple of weeks ago when the price dropped on the regular and they wouldn't do it

I visited two stores in Tucson, AZ and they were out withing three hours of the store opening. I asked an employee if they had anymore and he said he checked the film section an hour from when the store opened and that the Lucy steelbook section was empty so the store either sold out quickly or they never got the shipment. The only ones that can be troublesome to get are the animated DC film steelbooks cause my Targets only get like three copies. I wonder if Targets in Arizona get the Lucy steelbooks next week if they will honor the $19.99 price cause it will be $24.99 on Sunday.

I highly doubt they sold out. When I went this morning, they werent on the shelves yet. I found a stocking cart with a box of them. I'd go back tomorrow.

This was a blind buy for me. The wife picked it up for me and we watched this evening. It's far better, I believe than many have made it out to be. Lots of science and theory going on. Scarlett is very easy on the eyes and can carry a film. The premise is what's important here, and the possibility of going beyond the 10°/• brain capacity we're lead to believe guides us.

I think an eBay seller lives in my area, got there 1 hour after store opening, they had 3 left, of 20...not the first time this has happened.
