My copy from Best Buy did not have a digital code, how would I go about getting one?

I just got an email from Amazon sending me the digital code. I didn't contact them, they just sent it out.

This was a release wide thing. None of them came with digital codes. i got my copy from walmart. You have to email anchor bay so they can fix the issue and get you a digital copy of the film.

My steel book copy came with a working digital copy

As expected when I mentioned in the BB thread and saw 3 confirmations, it's funny how the Steelbook version DID come with code, while the regular versions are all saying they didn't. I hope shipments are sent out asap corrected and customers who didn't go Amazon cna get their code asap, too.

I ordered the steelbook from Amazon and it'll arrive tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have good luck getting a digital copy in mine.

Did they send you a code for their Amazon Video service, or was it the regular UV code you were supposed to get (and get in either the regular or steelbook Blu-Ray)?

My regular version from Amazon came with a code inside, and Amazon also emailed me a 2nd code "in case" my physical copy didn't have one.

Yeah....my copy from bb had a working digital copy and they price matched amazon so not sure about that.

How is this movie, compared to Warrior for example? I really love that one, but I heard that Southpaw is slighty overdramatic

It's great man. I love Warrior, but this is better. More gritty and emotional. Better performances.

I agree with the review on this site - best boxing movie since Rocky.

Better than The Fighter (which I love), Million $ Baby, Cindarella Man, and Ali.

I put it in my top 3 with Rocky and Raging Bull. It honestly might be #1 for me, but I have to watch it again.

It's a boxing movie so it's going to be dramatic. It's not overly done. The boxing scenes are excellent, but it's more about the struggles and demons of 1 man.

To those who already have this disc, does it include the James Horner tribute which, I believe, appears on screen immediately before the closing credits?

(It was present on some of the US theatrical prints but AFAIK none of the UK ones)

in the same way the sandlot kids compares to the mighty ducks

southpaw does try to force some drama down your throat, which does work for the most part. I saw my g/f with tears in her eyes on a few occasions however i felt some of the boxing (although well done) lacked any adrenaline pump for the audience.

think rocky balboa when he knocked down mason dixon in the 2nd round? I nearly jumped out of my seat, I was pumped. this was ho hum. imo.

The biggest problem was the insanely

[Show spoiler]quick losing of his house and possessions. First of all, that wouldn't happen that quickly... and second, it wouldn't happen at all. People with money, protect their investments from just those things. I understand it was simply written in to force him to get back to basics, and that's fine. But, come on. He'd never have lost everything.

agree

I would not be surprised if this was meant to be a 150 min film but trimmed to 120. some things are just glossed over in a way that seems inprobable.

is it me or whenever you see the names 'bob and harvey weinstein' in the titles you just know that the film has been molested to fit into shorter run times? annoys me.
