I guess we should find out soon with Gotham By Gaslight preorders.
The good news seems to be the DCU line, and all it’s various exclusives is here to stay. So good job to all the fan support!
I thought Batman and Harley Quinn steelbook was a Target exclusive.

It was. Justice League The New Frontier was the first one that wasn't.

My Best Buy store had these out on display already yesterday. I knew what would happen if I tried to buy one. I did it anyway and the register wouldn't allow it.

My store had about 8 copies. Every single one of them had a line going horizontally completely across the entire front cover. I hoped it was just the first copy from being crammed in the shelf display, but it was clearly visible on every steelbook.

I moved around the plastic wrap to make sure it wasn't just the plastic wrap with the line. Nope. It looked like every single copy had a scratch underneath the wrap. It reminded me of the Beauty and the Beast Steelbook I bought from BB that had an unboxing scratch on the spine under the plastic wrap.

I don't understand how this happened on the lower front cover. A couple had the scratches just about a centimeter away from the others. I should have taken pictures with my phone.

I placed an order online for shipping and it shipped already. We will see. It looked like a manufacturing error. I feel like it could be an issue for some, but I really hope I'm wrong.

I'll look for it tomorrow before I buy a copy.

I got mine in the mail today and it had the exact same thing you described. Even stranger, that line across the front extends on to the spine.

Received my copy today via USPS and while as you mentioned the line going across the entire lower front horizontally was there. Moved the plastic around and couldn't really tell if it was the plastic wrap or the steel. Removed the plastic and it was only on the plastic - steel is in perfect shape .

Hmmm.... maybe mine is the same. Maybe I'll give it a shot. I guess I'll have no problem exchanging it if it's not just the plastic.

Yep - false alarm. Thanks for your post. You saved me a trip to Best Buy today. That was pretty convincing on the plastic... I thought for sure at least the spine had a slash on it.

My copy will be arriving today so I’ll look to see if there is a scratch on the cover.

I wonder why it was announced so late? Normally BB is quick to put up preorders. Thank you all for sharing!

Just opened my Best Buy package. No slashes or dents or scratches, it’s minty-fresh.

I’m not a big steelbook guy but these two look pretty fancy together.

I preordered this yesterday because it was not showing up in stores and said for shipping only. Then this morning I check and I see all the stores in my area have it. D'OH!!!

For some reason this and Spiderman homecoming are way behind schedule on shipping, probably won't get this this week, so I went ahead and ordered another copy of each for store pickup.
