Yeah, it seems like kind of a dismissal of the first film which hasn't been that long ago, which is still relevant today in terms of it's not faded or unwatchable. I guess they couldn't think of new ideas so why not redo what has already been done is their logic....

If it's drastically different, maybe that's at least something to make it unique.

A remake feels completely unnecessary. The first movie was great and it came out in 2010. It's not that old and its an incredible movie. The second movie wasn't as good, but that was directed by Jeff Wadlow because Vaughn passed on directing it in favor of making Kingsman.

I'd rather see them making a Kick-Ass 3 (there is a 3rd comic to adapt) and bring back Aaron and Chloe. Trying to do a remake now feels like Vaughn creating something to maybe try and hold onto the film rights.

I don’t know about this one. It could be spectacular, but it would almost certainly be horrid. Tax write-off bad. Mafia money-laundering-cinema bad. Not good.

It will cover how John Wick got into the assassination trade, how he was able to get out, and then get back into the assassination trade years later, picking up with John Wick 1, which will be remade the way remakes go.

In some time, we'll probably see remakes of the original Star Wars trilogy not surprisingly.
