There's some gameplay improvements and not 100% but think there's a bit of extra story content. I do remember the zip lines from the PS5 version apparently weren't part of the PS4 version.

There are zip lines in the PS4 edition. I actually built an extensive network of zip lines in my game, and I could travel across most of the map via that network. I spent a lot of time and effort building it, even in or around areas infested with BTs.

I understand what you're getting at Namark. But I'm sure the questions you have will be answered. Those points you raise are too obvious to go unanswered.

I still think Elle Fanning is playing grown up Lou (BB) -- and I think this game's storyline will take place over the course of many years (provided my assumption of Elle being grown up BB turns out to be true).

In the first trailer that came out in December of 2022, Sam looked a lot older while as you pointed out, Fragile's skin looked completely fine.

Was Elle Fanning not the person they were cutting out of the pod in the beginning of the trailer? That's what I assumed.

I think it is. Elle's character's left arm is bandages in the trailer -- and that appears to be the same arm that's being operated on from the character removed from the tar.

Sony will host what appears to be a roundtable discussion with the team behind DS2 on the last day of TGS. It will surely get some sort of simulcast in other languages, but for now you can watch it here on September 29 @ 1030 JST:

I wonder if KojimaPro will release a Death Stranding 2 demo at their TGS event on Sunday? Wouldn't be surprised if it is at least playable at TGS, maybe even PS5 Pro enhanced.

Interesting interview (the auto cc was a bit messy but it works), would have been nice to see more of the game but the graphics look pretty good. The photo mode was a bit silly, I wonder if the reflections were realtime RT? I'm sure someone at DF will share their opinions on it in a few days...

Here is the updated version of the Death Stranding parka they modeled on stage:

Several smaller trailers came out during TGS24, but most of em are posted on X and annoying to link here, so here is someone's edit of them all together.

It has the signature Kojima weirdness for sure, but can't same I'm not actually excited to play this

Death Stranding 2 or Pragmata... I'm frankly way more excited for Pragmata.

Didn't know Elle Fanning was in this. Means I probably have to bite the bullet and play it, while simultaneously hoping the delivery mechanic is significantly toned down or less monotonous.

I need to dig out my copy of Somewhere and re-watch it. I completely forgot what the story is about, lol

You have something against delivering packages to people who expect them? Lol

Death Stranding 1 was a game that some loved while not appealing to others as much due to the task focused missions of delivering cargo in a world overrun by the black slime monsters and rapid aging.

The landscape was neat, but barren and void of points of interest. Then constantly dealing with the slime and the enemies, not fun IMO.

I'll skip on part 2 unless they make the gameplay a lot more fun, like Astrobot. I'm joking, this is a serious themed game and the main focus is on th heavy story telling. I felt like I was watching a movie 70% of the time instead of playing a game.

In MGSV, that is more my type of gameplay.

Slightly off-topic, but with all the talks about DS2 that got me wanting to buy the Death Stranding Director's Cut. I am glad I didn't buy those used copies I came across before. I found a brand new one on Amazon for the same price today and I bought it. I beat the original PS4 release when it came out but I have never replayed it. Looking forward to the Director's Cut.

I waited and played the PS5 version of DS. So glad I did! One of the most unique, beautiful, bizarre, and arduous gaming experiences I've ever had! Death Stranding, to me, is one of the most "important" games to have come out in a long long time! I thought about this game a lot after finishing it. I'll never play it again! Simply because I know I can never experience it the same way ever, the way I did playing through it the first time.
