The movie will begin pre-production/filming in London in a few weeks per Jenna Ortega’s interview with ‘The Cut’ magazine.

I know JJ has a (deserved) bad rap for his franchise stuff, but Super 8 is well and truly strong enough to give me faith he can deliver strong original stuff.

There will be lens flares for sure.

I enjoyed his Star Trek movies but the Star Wars ones were mixed. One solid, one terrible. Super 8 tried but didn’t work for me. JJ does have it in him to do good films though.

JJ hate is as baffling to me as the fawning for Tarantino. JJ hasn't made a bad thing yet imo. Always entertaining. Where does all the hyperbole come from?
