The funny thing is that a week or two ago that same person was asking for around $200. Quite the markup!

I know. I offered him $70 for it and he turned me down lol. I said to him "aint no one out of their mind and paying $200 for it. What is this John Rambo?" He's had this up on ebay for weeks and no one has bought it, so instead of lowering it because no one is biting he raises it up to $300. WTF? Who in the hell would pay that much for this?

No kidding! If no one buys it at $200, one would think
a) I'm doing something wrong
b) I should rethink my price

Not - "holy crap - someone just got about my price for this - let me jack up the price ANOTHER $100"?

Definitely not John Rambo!

Someone will, not sure who, but if it is up at that price for long enough, someone will buy it. Probably be someone from Europe as they are even rarer over there and with the coversion of euro to $US favoring the euro side, to alot of people over there this would be a steal

Just my $0.02

hey that's economics...,

Nobody wanted John Rambo at first, but when a private store / seller marked it up for 500 Euro, price for all John Rambo shot up like crazy and overnight it was a collectors item.

I am guilty as well, I recently bought John Rambo from Ebay for $500 ( I believe Pro-X is the seller, I think the seller is Pro-X again, maybe I am wrong ), and it is naturally someone will grab it at a higher price ($300) thinking that it is more and more collectable.

It is as simple as it sounds supply and demand. People buy for various reasons, just to collect..., hang on to it to pick up value..,

I actually saw a used copy at a local store today for $19 Canadian. Unfortunately, it had a scratch on it, or I would have picked it up to sell. I already have a copy.

Sad, But true..,

For example.., I have an entire collection of Sony's SUPERBIT dvd collection and could'nt shop till I finished collecting their entire catalog and then continued to look for International Superbit catalogs like Jurassic park Trilogy and Gladiator on Superbit.

All it takes is one person to be crazy enough to set it off. I've got the whole Future Shop steelbook series, and I am thinking about putting it up on ebay for a high price just to see if it sells. If it does, great. If not, that's fine too, since I love the collection. All I would be out is the listing fee.
