Who's to say the next format won't be memory cards and won't be able to play blu-ray? I have a ton of VHS tapes still at the house that were purchased when VHS was alive and well.....

Never bought one. My dad did, even after I told him that blu-ray would win the format war. Now he's stuck using his HD-DVD player solely as an upconverter.

I got a HD DVD player for €10 (the 360 addon), and I get whatever is on HD DVD that has same specs as the BD, I mean the difference between £2 - £7 and £17+ is a lot for me.

I'll still buy HD-DVDs, but no more combo discs. Most of them skip about an hour or so into the movie.
