The new transfer is beautiful. I notice so much more, and the colors are gorgeous. Really worth the price (well maybe not the tin at full price) but for the 24 dollars I spent, it was worth it. This is my favorite holiday film.

Just finish watching Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York for the first time viewing in Blu-ray. I seen both in theater (saw first one in theater twice) way back to 1990 & 1992 and then I have VHS way back to the 1990's and then Family Fun Edition of first one DVD and second one DVD... and finally own both each Blu-ray + DVD combo pack. Still childhood favorite movie.

Much like with the new Christmas Vacation remaster, I don't find the new HA remaster to be overly dark at all...it looks great on my calibrated 50" Panny plasma via a PS3 (about halfway through it now). If I had any qualms, it'd be that the overall picture is a bit on the warm side of the spectrum, but that's a minor complaint considering the increase in resolution.

Not sure. I am sure someone is going to Best Buy tomorrow to pick up X-Men: Apocalypse so they could check then.
