I thought tonight’s episode was great. I especially liked the awkwardness of Camille partying with Amma. This, along with the Affair, are two shows I’m really going to miss when they’re over ( at least we still get another final season of the Affair next year, though).

Can you tell us what was in the mirror? I remember tonight watching that scene and swearing that I saw ... someone or something odd... for like 2 seconds in the mirror. I should have re-winded that part....but I was so enthralled in tonight’s episode that I just continued on.

Tonight’s episode was excellent. Some pretty big reveals that I didn’t see coming.
The previews for next week’s finale looks really crazy. This show has really grown on me, esp. the last few episodes. I love the kooky town and the mysterious characters. Really going to miss it when it ends next week. |

We saw it quick and even rewound that scene to re-watch it (because the scene almost immediately cuts to the next scene), but in the reflection of the moving door mirror is [Show spoiler]

What an episode, and what a finely wrought piece of southern gothic this whole series has been. Can't wait to see next week's finale, though it will certainly be bittersweet as I'm hating to see it end; it's been fascinating to be in the company of these emotionally scarred and complicated characters this summer, Camille in particular. Jean-Marc Vallee officially joins the ranks of one of the best filmmakers working today (would've loved to have seen what he'd have done with Gillian Flynn's Dark Places, considering how badly the film botched the novel).
And Happy Birthday to Amy Adams, who surely deserves an Emmy for her work here, which was never less than emotionally-felt and outstanding in every episode. |

I’m curious as to how the finale will play out, as it’ll dictate whether or not I pick up the inevitable Blu release. I still believe as long as the murderer’s identity is not changed, I should be satisfied enough to necessitate a purchase.
I’m only a bit apprehensive now after having watched the penultimate episode, as it’s the first I haven’t been completely enamored with. I’ve been onboard with nearly all of the deviations from the source material up until [Show spoiler] . I’m hoping once I’ve watched the finale and then revisit the series, my disappointment in this one will change, or at least soften.
