Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 - Remastered

Finally got 100% challenges and medals for both games. The biggest pain for me was Venice Beach landing that 1st VB transfer and getting the secret tape there too.

For the life of me, I could not figure out the third rooftop gap on the Downtown level, so I had to look it up. That's ridiculous that you have to grind the rail upon landing for it to count. How the hell was I supposed to know that?

I keep overshooting the rail, it is annoying me, that is the last goal I have on that map.

I haven't even tried it yet. I looked it up after I got done playing last night. Hopefully it doesn't give me too much of a problem...hopefully.

Don’t know if this will help, but worth remembering that you can take stat points away after you’ve put them on.

In some cases it’s worth resdistributing your stats depending on what challenge or collectible you’re trying. If you’ve put a load of points in to Hangtime, Air, Ollie, etc. you can easily overshoot stuff. Just take them off, try the challenge again, then add them all back in when you’re done.

Yeah I saw someone else say to do that, I will give it a shot. Nothing worse than making it all the way to the top, then not landing the jump lol

Same! Seriously took me like 6 tries before I realized I had to grind that rail down there.

I FINALLY landed the Downtown gap onto the rail. Must have taken 50 tries no joke. I can understand why some people break their controllers lol

I'm gonna give you an easy tip: ride along the rail that is directly in front of the jump and jump midway through the jump. you should be able to land on the rail 100% of the time this way.


going through each skaters challenges per park took me 3 weeks but i did like 1.5 skater each night. took me around 1h30 each to complete.

hopefully they release more update as Im stuck leveling up as I do no have ps plus so cant do the multiplayer challenges.

also screw bullring and venice beach hard gap.

That took me like 20 tries haha...that level sucks! Have to perfectly boneless at the perfect angle to get it.

I'm still enjoying it. It's providing a good sense of progress and accomplishment as I complete some challenges that initially feel near-impossible. Earlier this week the idea of achieving all Sick scores in a combo felt pretty daunting. Now that's done.

I've unlocked the alien (funny how those plushies felt so prevalent after I spotted my first one, a week into playing), and almost finished all the challenges on create a skater.

I really don't mind having to go through the levels and only grab stat points for each player. It's a very chilled out gameplay option when there's plenty else to do. And it doesn't limit the amount of times you can play the career-mode goals, nor make it too tedious to unlock all the skater's videos.

Now my naive dream is that they just release the THPS 3 levels as a $15-20 DLC.

A game update now lets you replay all the career mode type challenges with each individual skater. So that's fun and I'm curious how quickly I can get through all those challenges after a couple months practice. A good number of other new skater challenges have been added as well.

This has been pretty much all I've been playing on most weekends since launch. Right now I'm on level 72 or so, without having done any of the multi-player or create-a-park challenges. I think this is pretty good considering I'm still complete rubbish at squeaking past a milliion points in a single 2minute session.

I'm hoping someone can help me out with a maybe-simple request. Could I send someone with this game a friend request on PSN and invite them to a multiplayer match -- you don't even have to accept the invitation to play the match. I just want to get this achievement in the game of "start a multiplayer party"

Sony's doing a free weekend of multiplayer, so I'm getting whatever achievements I had leftover in this game that required online play.
I never play online so I don't have PSN friends or know anyone else with the game to just send an invite to.

If anyone can help, it's greatly appreciated. My PSN name is AFFanAttic.

I'll probably continue to nearly-never play online after today. It's been fun this weekend trying out the game on multiplayer, but I don't care to become a PS+ subscriber to keep doing it.
