Don't you mean disc 3 dvd? Also is this the same bonus disc as the target exclusive: A Hero Will Rise DVD? Thanks

Edit: Can anybody tell me the difference between all the versions ie Best Buy, Walmart, Target please?

Agreed. I watched Raimi's films after watching TASM and I still prefer Raimi's films. They're just much more vibrant and entertaining.

no disc 3 is the special features blu (or bonus features as he chose to refer to it), the 2d feature film blu disc itself has almost no extras on it

Is there a comprehensive list of all the versions? Still trying to decide and want to before actual release date...

Content wise, they are the same, right? Except for Target and Walmart w different bonus dvds

I think you misread what I wrote, I wasn't trying to be smart. I thought the disc 3 bonus was a DVD not a bluray.

I prefer both!

From reading the last 10 pages, is it only Walmart and Target that each hold a bonus disc and that they are both approx. 21 mins long?

Walmart exclusive: Unmask the secrets behind the Lizard Bonus DVD
Target exclusive: A Hero Will Rise Bonus DVD

I want to buy the movie in 3D as well as 2D so should I be buying the Target exclusive 5 disc set? I don't think the Walmart exclusive has the 3D available. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks

Exactly my case. I caved into the 18.96 price on Amazon.
Really loved the steelbook, but I need to slow down on the spending lol

2 things stick out well for me in this movie:
- the use of webbing for fight scenes surpasses any of Raimi's (Spider-Man 3 is a close second)
- the fabric of the new costume is so much more realistic cos they have folds even on CG spidey!

Again, it's the small details like these examples that make this film surpass Raimi's trilogy.

As a matter of fact, the use of the webbing during the fights, upon repeated viewings, is almost slightly too much. I love it but man, they went beyond the call of duty showing how this version of the character uses the webbing.

Has anyone confirmed that the Target bonus disc 3D version will be available in stores? The ad only really mentions the 2D set and I am hoping the 3D exclusive set is not online only.

As for the Walmart exclusive disc it does not appear to be available in a 3D set and it is not included in the standard 2D release. That disc is only available in their exclusive version that includes the mask case. It is one of those side by side double packs that they have to set on top of the DVD section as they do not fit in the slots. My stores usually clear these out pretty quick so you can't wait for a price drop to occur. On the website this mask set is listed as $24.96 where as the standard set is $18.96, but I'm still holding out hope the in store price will be lower. I'm trying to decide if an exclusive special feature on DVD and the mask are worth the $6 to me. It helps that the youtube video posted earlier confirms the mask set includes the standard 2D set inside with a slipcover and the bonus disc is packed inside the mask, so at least I can keep the discs in a regular case and just display the mask for fun.

I know what you mean, but I've even had that feeling reading some of the comics (often in JM Stracynski's run, if I'm remembering correctly). I'd think to myself, damn it Peter, why didn't you stop at WM and stock up on webbing before getting yourself into a fight with whichever villain it was at the time. I loved that in this movie. And the Midtown High fight in this movie is the epitome of what I've missed from a Spidey fight in all of his previous films. That scene and the train fight in Spidey 2 (Spidey 2.1 extended version) are my favorite Spider-Man scenes.
