Went to my local tesco, had like 6 copies all with slipcases, all damaged thou, so went to sainsburys all sold out, went to local Asdas, had like 10 copies all with covers, had job to find a good one, so made do with the only one that had a slight mark on, 3D copy by the way, hate being so ocd over my covers.

My guess is that because there’s such an enormous demand for this movie, they pressed more than the usual batch number. Probably 2 batches.
Disney (and most distributors I guess) only run the first batch with slips, so the second batch comes slipless. So it’s likely the multiple batches just got shipped around randomly. So some stores got batch 1, some got batch 2.

Similar thing happened with Frozen in the US, obviously was going to be an enormous seller, so they ran 3 batches. First batch had a holographic slip, second batch had a matte slip, third batch had no slip. All three batches were released on day 1, and it was a lucky dip if your local store got the holographic slip, matte slip or no slip. Amazon received a delivery containing all three batches and people who had pre-ordered reported getting different slips on day 1 or none at all.
Similarly, with the U.K. 3D edition, there weren’t enough slips to go around on day 1 either. My pre-order came slipless and never ended up tracking a slip down for that one.

Very common thing for these enormous demand movies.

Default Aspect ratio of the 3D disc?

Can someone confirm if the UK 3D disc retains the IMAX ratio or not?

No disc worldwide has the IMAX ratio.

I got a slip with mine from Amazon, just the regular BD not 3D or 4K or whatever but the slip looks worse for wear. Shame really as it is really nice.

After all the messages here in the forum about slipcover less copies I was a little bit , but:

Today my 2D, 3D and 4K UHD of "Avengers: Infinity War" from Amazon.co.uk arrived all with slipcovers.

I've pre-ordered all my MCU movies since Avengers (Assemble) and I always got them with a slipcover. Maybe I'm pretty lucky

Awesome to hear!

I’ve been ordering my 3D copies from the U.K. since around that time too (maybe a little later actually), and I never had any issues with slips until recently.

Pirates 5, Last Jedi, Coco, Black Panther all arrived slipless from them. So I bypassed them this time around and ordered through HMV. Still waiting on delivery, fingers crossed they get here.

So I watched my 4K copy tonight but the disc was making a loud noise as it played? The actual film played fine with no problems. I tried the standard Blu-Ray and that plays without the noise, it’s just the 4K disc. Any ideas of what’s up?

There’s defo manufacturing fault with avengers. The 3D don’t play on one player but plays on another

Sounds like an unbalanced disc, they happen occasionally.

So it's not "perfectly balanced as all things should be"?

Any way to fix that or is it a just deal with it kinda thing?

Doubt there is anyway to fix it, why not try a replacement.

About an hour into the movie and found the 3D to range between non-existent to good with some couple of good pop outs. Sharpness fluctuates quite a bit. Hoping the 3D is better in the second half. Think I had been spoiled to much by Alita, Gotg-2, Ghost in the Shell and Lego Batman that I watched recently.
