This movie looks really good. I wanted to see how it would look visually on Blu-ray. I hope this comes out on Blu-ray really soon.

I was thinking the same thing the other day. This is one of my favorite sci-fi movies. It would look stunning on blu-ray. It has that film grain look throughout the film too.

Yeah i saw it on Tv the other day, and went to best buy to look for it on blu-ray, but had no luck finding. I get home and decide to look it up on this website and had no results about the film. Thanks for grain issue on the film. I hope they resolve it some on the blu-ray version, hopefully, if they decide to do it.

In my opinion, this is Spielberg's best. I'm anxiously waiting for this and Munich.

I saw the HD broadcast on TNT HD and it looked great (they even showed it letterboxed 2:35). I can only imagine the BD will look even better.

I honestly didn't care much for this movie when I saw it in theaters, but after seeing the HD broadcast I'm definitely getting the BD.

I would daresay that the grain look is intentional so there wouldn't be anything to resolve as far as that.

It would still look pretty awesome. And they need to bring War of the Worlds while they're at it.

Is twentieth fox notorious about grain on their blu-ray movies releases? I read it on this website about some person on here posting an article about some movie company releasing movies with half ass transfer or grain problem, or something about it. Either way, i don't care about grain in movie, some people on here can concur.

The look of MR has everything to do with the DP Kaminski and not any studio.

Grain "issue"?!?!?!

It's not a ****ing issue! It's what is SUPPOSED to look like. Just like Saving Private Ryan, Munich, War of the Worlds, etc. Spielberg WANTS them to look that way.

Luckily he controls his own transfers, and wouldn't let this board DNR those wonderful films.

This board can be so incredibly immature about this stuff. Does anyone like movies here, or just tech demos?

I think the bright blueness will trump the grain. But over both will be the awesomeness of Spielberg's direction and Cruise's acting.

Minority Report, huh?

Looks pretty good for a Spielberg release, but without spoiling anything, is this movie good, and what is it about?

P.S. Fox DOES have an issue with grain:

They scrub. A lot. A lot of DNR over there.

What titles? I've felt that they kept grain intact pretty well on the ones I own- Predator comes instantly to mind.

Patton, The Longest Day.

And although it came out alright, Good/Bad/Ugly.

I'm referring mostly to catalog titles.

Fox has a few isolated issues with DNR, but overall they are not bad. I'm not offering an excuse for the bad ones, such as the ones space monkey mentions, but Fox has a decent track record overall.

Regardless, Fox won't be handling the release for this anyway, at least in the U.S.
