So it doesn't look like any PCM tracks are included as of now. I'll let you
know if we get any additional information.

The 6.1 DTS is nice... but I'd really like for Paramount to learn to take advantage of the new audio codecs. How about DTS-HDMA 6.1? I don't think that's too much to ask considering they could use the same audio track on both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD and save time... Or even Dolby TrueHD, but unfortunately so far there haven't been any 6.1 TrueHD tracks...

I honestly don't get why it's so hard for Paramount, to include lossless tracks.
It's not like they have to re-invent the wheel or anything.

These just went from definate purchases to possible purchases. I'm really trying to hold onto my self promise of no discs without lossless audio, but Face/Off is making it rather hard.

Please don't tell me Paramount will only give us old codecs much longer, I hope they will give us some sort of uncompressed track.

Hopefully putting an uncompressed track on Blu-Rays does not become a habit with Paramount, like them not supporting animorphic video on DVD for so many years.

I'm not too into features unless it's a comedy I like blooper reels. Otherwise just give me the movie with the best possible quality and the best picture.

Did the email say if all of them will be AVC encoded on BD-50s?

cant wait for top gun, but i wonder will it be any better then the dvd? since the movie is kind of out dated. jw
