Default Friday The 13th 3-D

I am hoping against all hopes that the region coding details on Friday The 13th 3-D are somehow wrong and it will play on region B players.

Can anyone let me know if it can be played on region B players or not.

Thanks very much.

Yeah, I thought Parts 2 and 3 got released for Region B when Part 1 came out in the US?

My only complaint about the Region A release is the fact that they only included 2 pair of glasses. I may not have many, but I have more than 1 friend who wants to see it in 3D!

Yeah, 2 and 3 both came out in the UK already. If you need a version that will absolutely work on a Region B machine, pick up those.

Keep in mind that the UK release does NOT have the 3-D version. The US release DOES have this, and includes 2 pairs of 3-D glasses.

Pretty sure that's the OP's point -- wanting the 3D version over the other.

I thought that the US version was region free, but I could be wrong. They sell it as an import on Amazon UK, which wouldn't make sense if it were region locked.

As far as the number of 3d glasses included, consider this: I have the Nightmare on Elm Street Box set, which has a 3d sequence. I also have My Bloody Valentine 3d (which includes 4 pairs). So, with F13 Part 3, I have a total of 8 pairs of 3d glasses.

Besides, anyone who cares enough to see F13 Part 3 in 3d would love My Bloody Valentine in 3d.

Different glasses. MBV has green/magenta, and F13 has red/blue.

I'm still waiting for my copy, but since they only come with a pair of glasses. I was wondering if you can use the glasses from My Bloody Valentine which came with 4.

Did you read the other posts? Especially number 8? Red and blue glasses only.

I actually forget to mention that I was talking about the 3-D version.

We did get a very screwed up version of part 3 over here. For e.g: No 3-D version, Lost Tales from Camp Blood Pt 2 and 3, instead of just having part 3 (part 1 is on Friday Part 2). So, my guess is that they may not be releasing Friday part 1 over here any time soon, if at all.

I never can understand why films get different releases in different countries. It makes no sense why they didn't give everyone else the 3-D version. Studios suck!...sometimes

Will the 3D be just like it was in the cinemas?

No, this time it might actually work properly.

I wastched this the other night and was quite disappointed in the 3D. Maybe my eyes are getting iold but alot of the 3d effects you could see double images like the greens and red were not prominent enough. I changed many settings on my TV to get it to look better but it didn't fix the problem. The scenes that were slow worked fine where you had time to let your eyes adjust to it but if something happened fast (ie the snake scene or the spear gun) you could see the image split in two. fun none the less. I haven't seen this in 3D since it was in theatres.

Your right, it was down right horrible. I watched it lastnight and couldn't handle it anymore and just watched the 2D version. It was so bad everything looked like a mess. Double images, fuzzy, out of focus, just horrible!. My Bloody Valentine 3D smokes this one in every which way. I have the regular 3D DVD of Friday The 13th Part 3, and the regular 3D DVD version is better than the Blu-ray. No idea what happened there.

I made it about a half hour into the movie with the glasses on, finally I had to take them off and watch the standard version. Too many double images when watching it in 3D. I don't understand why they have such a hard time putting 3D movies on Blu-ray. I have a few, and they all do this, terrible double images that hurt your eyes. *sigh*

Maybe if the contrast was lowered on the TV, and you get (optical) quality saturated filters on the glasses the double images would be reduced a bit. Red/cyan etc 3-D works best with B/W images, but till Polarized/LCD shutter systems are in place that's the best you can do for now.
