My first HDTV was installed last week
a Samsung UN55B8000 LED.

I love it.

Sony KDL-40XBR4 here. I have done some personal calibration on the picture, along with one service menu tweak which topped it off, PQ-wise. Although a 120Hz LCD, I no longer run ANY frame interpolation for 1080p/24 source material (BDs). I'll trade smoothest-motion for maximum PQ any day of the week (and the XBR4 excels at motion-smoothing if you are into it).

Sony has not made as striking-looking of an LCD chassis since the XBR2 through XBR5. They broke the mold on it. The TV looks sexy even when it's off.

I couldn't be happier, even after well over a year-and-a-half of ownership.

Well, yes I could be happier - I want a bigger screen eventually! I'm glad I chose the TV I have, though. I'm not chomping at the bit to upgrade at this moment.

I didn't vote because I own more than 1 brand.The 37 inch sammy and xbr4 have equal usage I'd say. I have sony 52" xbr4, toshiba 42" regza, samsung 37"650 series and a 19" old samsung lcd model that I cant remeber

32" Sharp Aquos 1080p 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. I like it but its time for an improvement.
