Most annoying thing after purchasing a BD movie. - Blu-ray Forum

1. After I leave the register at Best Buy and walk out the door in a hurry, the alarm goes off. I have to stop, take out my receipt, show the security bouncer dude in yellow, and then he walks to the cashier to de-activate the security sticker so it won't sound the alarm off. I don't know why the cashiers forget

2. I'm at Wal-Mart and the cashier(s) does not know how to open the clear security case that covers the movie. This always happens to me, and one time I waited 15 mins for someone to finally come and open the case. I think Wal-Mart associates need some retraining.

3. Wal-mart does the same thing with Best Buy (Read part 1)

4. Opening the shrink wrap, trying to not scratch the BD case prior to watching.

Amazon sometimes sends me damaged artwork..

Finding out they put my movie in an Eco-Case.

Because then I have to go start a fire and burn it. And then I have to order some more cases online.

It's very time consuming.

90% of my Blu's are from Amazon. Only had a couple of problems with cracked cases.

I picked up Scrubs on DVD (season 2) recently and there were a ton of them on the shelf, of course the one I got had a broken corner. Minor pet peeve.

Also, while taking the disc out of the package sometimes I've had (mainly with DVD and not BD) where it feels like you're going to snap the disc in half. I think this occurred with the Simpsons sets for me, was as if half of the disc was glued to the inside of the package.

Doesn't that actually happen BEFORE you buy a BD?

Well... they scan it first and then take it off.. I finished paying the cashier and now I'm waiting for that person to take it out of the security case and they have no clue

(Actually I just misread your post. I thought you meant you couldn't get a sales associate to open the glass case that houses some games and movies. Who's the idiot? THIS GUY.)
