Since I am writing this at 12:48 AM Central time I thought I would write everyone to wish you all a happy and safe 4th Of July. I plan on spending the day with the family and having a cookout. Then head out to see the big fireworks display. After that? Pop in a good Blu ray movie and enjoy the night.

A local pub here was covered in american flags and people were dressed up like Dolly Parton & Various cowboys!

I'd only expect you Brits to make light of it.

Perhaps it is a better day to wear black and mourn, given the current political environment in the US. Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves as we continue to yield the very freedoms they fought to acquire. What was once a land of opportunity is now a land of laziness and entitlement.
