I don't think the BD camp is ready to ***** out their products, and quite frankly...I don't think they need to.

$399 is the price me thinks by years end, in the way of the BDP-S300.

If the off brands make it to market by then, I'll assume $299 for them.

HDDVD has to ***** their players to be competitive, Blu-ray is selling well, and at a profit...thats the whole point of selling products. Something HDDVD seems to think they can recoup on the back end, desperation need I say more?

You might see a walmart black friday fire sale of $249 on a Funai deck.

Main brands, $2-499. I belive Sony will have a $299. Everyone else wil lbe in the $350-400 zone

299 for pc drives and 399 for standalone players don`t fporget due to profile 1.1 it wil rais player prices

I would say $349.99 retail for a full featured player but nothing fancy.
