Talking Superman III and Superman IV Blu-ray

Does anyone know when these films will be released on blu ray? I know these movies are not the best but they have a huge nostalgia factor for me.

I'd like to have them as well just to complete the set but as far as I know there's no word yet. I actually figured they'd get released when WB does the next movie but that seems to be in permanent limbo.

WB probably knows these films won't sell too well, which is why they weren't released with the others. But it will happen eventually.

I don't think these movies on Blu-ray would give any benefit over the DVDs... the special effects would look twice as fake!

I'd like a complete set of the films too. Even the original Superman II isn't on Blu (only the Donner cut), so a set with all the original movies (+ Donner Cut) would be cool.

I almost bought Superman The Movie, Superman 2 and Superman Returns but I canceled the order in maybe a box set of all 5 films for the future

I’d like to see the Superman Ultimate Collector's Edition (with the four Christopher Reeve films, director’s cuts of the first two films, and Superman Returns) re-released on Blu-ray.

I know you geeks and seinfeld's out there want to complete your precious collections, but the fact is, Superman III and IV truly sucked. Especially compared to the first film and Superman Returns, the 3rd one especially, christ worst story ever, what the hell was the plot even?? Can anyone figure it out, Superman was having some ****ed up mid life identity crisis or something? Who the hell knows, doesn't matter the film sucked, and is not made any better on Bluray, the studio probably noticed this fact as they did not sell many copies, so they decided for the sake of truth and justice they would not release the 4th one on Bluray, there would be no point. Hey here's the bluray of the 2006 film http://www.megauploadforum.net/viewt...hilit=superman

Superman:The Movie was such a success at the box office. Why is it then that all of its sequel seemed to have much smaller budgets. Usually, the success of the original means that the sequel or sequels would be more spectacular. But not the case with Superman ll, lll, or lV. This is why I own only Supeman:The Movie on BD, and I don't care for the rest.

Superman III is a decent film, and should not be lumped in with the abomination that is Superman IV. That was a low-budget affair with an awful script. Superman III has the classic junkyard battle scene.

Classic?? Really??
First of all, special effects did go down a bit for ll. Just look at the scenes of the 3 villains flying, or when they attack NYC (which was clearly filmed in a studio and not on location as the original was).
lll was hardly a classic, as the junkyard battle also suffered from horrendous low budget special effects.
And as for lV, well let's just say the quality suffered greatly by then.
Superman: The Movie, yes classic. The sequels? Far inferior.

Default What? Really?

Oh my god are you kidding me? Are you actually standing up for Superman 3? Come on!! Classic junkyard scene?? Are you kidding me? Even the Batman Movie from 1966 had better special effects and more believable acting, and if you know what I'm talking about, that's bad. If that scene where Superman fights Clark Kent...what..why...is classic film, then the shit I took this morning is a gourmet meal at a 5 star restaurant. Both 3 and 4 are just awful, you are only blinded by the fact that you most likely worship superman and have all his comics and touch yourself when you think about him. If the flick were with a figure that you were not such a fan of, you would more easily see that the acting is terrible, the story, what story that's all that needs to be said for that, it was so cheesy, and usually sequels at least remember the events of the previous movies. Why is it that Lois learned that Superman is Clark Kent in the Second film, but somehow in the 3rd and 4th films she just forgot something like that? And there's that ridiculous scene where Superman has a double date with Lois, that other slut and Clark Kent and Clark keeps running in and out of the room changing to Superman and back, good god that was the cheesiest, worst scene possibly in the history of film. If you actually believe that 3 and 4 are pretty good, then you really must not watch quality films that often and are just amused by the moving colors and sounds, much like a toddler.
