I watched this once before a while back.

My cousin and I were flipping through the channels and he saw it and wanted me to see it.

They were taking someones truck or something back (don't remember for sure) and they kept getting like really mad and passed out a couple times I think

I watched the clip titled "Ladies, Ladies!" and I have a question about just how a repossession works.

What would happen if a police officer passed by? Would the police side with the repo-person or with the girls?

The cameras being there aside, how would one know if the repossession is legit and not some people trying to rip them off? (Granted they are not making their payments but you know what I mean.)

Anyway, these shows are awesome. Deadbeats, go home!

Pretty sure this show is fake. From the "Ladies, Ladies!" clip, I am positive the woman driving the Scion away is really not allowed to drive the car the way she did with the two women on the hood. That's a no-no. And for it to be on camera, she would be in huge trouble if it was real.

Repossession in VA is civil, The cops dont get involved unless a criminal act happens.

Answer to how Repo laws works

Answer

Well, I'll tell you what I know. The repossession company has to be licensed, their agents have to be licensed and they have to have a licensed qualified manager. If they have the proper licensing, here's how a repo would go: licensed repoman finds vehicle, put a hook on it. Reports it to the local cop shop, debtor comes out, demands that the repoman lets the car go. Repoman says "No, I can't do that" debtor calls cops. Officer shows up, sees a hook on the vehicle. Verifies repomans license number. Cop tells debtor, give the repoman your keys. Now, if anyone that is required to have a license doesn't, well, it would all go the same except instead of the cop telling the cebtor to give up the keys, the cop would be telling the repoman to assume the position and cuff and stuff him. The license that is required is commonly referred to as an "RA" number if you find someone on your property "repossessing" a vehicle, ask him for his RA number. If he can't tell you what it is, he's either an illegal repoman or stealing the car. If he tells you a number, well, just give him the keys and save yourself from the embarassment of the police coming to your house but write down the number he tells you.

I have to politely disagree with jwbbud and others and say that this show is one of the worst shows in the worst genre of television shows. I didn't immediately know it was staged, but once I found out it was, that just made it unbearable for me. The repo guys (some of whom have never even actually been repossesors) give off that same self-righteously indignant attitude that John Bunnell gives to those World's Wildest Police Videos specials, almost as though they're all superheroes. It makes me want to beat them up just to put them in a position of vulnerability.

Ugh...totally. You can throw Nancy Grace on that pile, as well: people who have a Batman-complex because they suffered a tragedy in life. Unlike Batman, however, these people are not super--they merely just suck.

My wife loves the show, but I can't really get into it due to its fakeness vibe. Seems like everything is a reenactment.

Sorry to give the bad news, but yes this show is fake. Everyone is an actor etc...apparently though it's based on true stories.....

There use to be an actual reality repo show on TLC or A&E where they rode with the repo men/women, that show was ok. I think it was hosted by some guy who use to be on the Soprano's??

Thanks

What's wrong with demanding justice for those who have committed horrible acts against others?

Nothing, might as well make a name for yourself and money off it while you are at it.
