Rumor: UNCHARTED 2 with PS3 Slim Bundle?

It's funny how these 250GB systems are showing up. If true, it looks like the PS3 bundle will be cheaper than the 360 bundle.

I guess that's awesome. If it's true, our 250gb system would come with Uncharted 2 while the xbox's would come with Modern Warfare 2.... there's only 1 of those systems where you can have both . lol

Joystiq points us to this rumor from last week that Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed II, and Gran Turismo 5 bundles are possibly slated for the UK in October for £299 ($494), just £50 more than the current 120GB model.

All sound like excellent pack-in games. Uncharted especially.

While I think that is an absolutely incredible bundle I personally think that the HDD sizes are getting a bit out of control. I'll speak for myself when I say that the 120GB HDD on my PS3 Slim will never get even close to being half full. So a PS3 with a HDD size that's over 200GB is ridiculous to me.

Meanwhile, my 250GB (upgraded) HDD is filling up rapidly, and I think it's time to upgrade again already.

Update: Sony America says, "That tip is a complete fabrication." To be clear, this statement does not represent SCE (Japan) or SCEE (Europe), though it does absolutely deny the existence of any 250GB PlayStation 3 bundle in the US this year.

All I know is the PS3 was also complete fabrication...I'm sure this will most likely happen around Christmas. It's sad that Sony can't sneak anything under the radar.

So is this game really that great? I never got into the first demo when the org game came out. I would rather have a MW2 bundle. Not going to happen i know. But my good friends how good is this game?

From what I've played and seen so far, it has an excellent chance of overtaking Uncharted and Dead Rising as best games of the generation so far.

i would say the uncharted pic is fake.. sony has the UPC's on the bottom of the box not on the side, along with the serial would be right next to it ... sorry i work at best buy i just happened to see that.

The thing with HDD sizes... once manufacturers figure out how to make a 250GB cheaply, they phase out the 120GB. It would end up costing Sony significantly more to special order smaller HDDs than it would to include the current size being produced. That's not what they'd be doing here, as 120GB is pretty standard, but the 40s and 60s have gone the way of the dodo. We'll probably see Terabyte HDDs in the PS3 in a couple years, just because that's what's being cranked out.
