Default Marble Madness

If anyone remembers this NES classic, they know that this game is ASKING to be remade.

<ROM link removed>

Basically, it's all about moving your marble around through the world without falling off the edge. The game has had some spinoffs in the past, but with the sixaxis this game would be a hit. Even if they just take the original and add SIXAXIS controls to it, I'd be happy.

That would be aload of fun with the sixaxis! I had this game on the NES. Always fun knocking the other player off.

Oh that would be awesome - one of my favorites - even back to those wooden versions before everything went virtual.

Unless somebody can prove to me that the 'publisher' of Marbel Madness wishes that the game be freely distributed, the ROM link cannot be posted.

I think there is a free PC version...but the SIXAXIS aspect is what would make it fresh again.

Marble Madness was originally an Atari product, not NES. Then a graphically enhanced version was made for the Apple IIGS (showing my age here) that had a pretty killer soundtrack (stereo!) for the day.

Haven't played the XBL version yet, although it sounds like fun. My DLink Powerline Networking unit is defective and I just haven't gotten around to an RMA yet, so I haven't even used XBL in over a month.

The problem w/ all remakes of Marble Madness is the controls blow compared to the original arcade game. That gamne has to have a trackball to really get it right. Sixaxis might be OK but the velocity control is still better w/ trackball.

It looked innocent to me, because it was right on a webpage. I googled it, and it was one of the first. I figured if it was illegal I would have to at least put in some effort to find one. But I don't blame you, I would have done the same.

Or was it a ROM download? To me it looked like you could just play it on the website. I didn't try it though, so i could be wrong.
